Waste Disposal

Solid waste management services are performed by Clark's Disposal under a franchise agreement with the city.

Office Hours are Monday-Friday 11am-2pm.

The John Day City Council approved new rates on January 24th, 2017.

Residential Rates

1) 32 Gallon Cans
- $16.50 per month for one can per week
- $27.50 per month for two cans per week
- $38.50 per month for three cans per week
- $3.50 special pick-up rate for an additional can
- $8.00 per month for one can per month
2) 45 Gallon Cans
- $20.00 per month for one can per week
3) Other Charges for Residential
- $1.00 per occurrence for extra boxes or bags

Commercial Rates

1) One Dump per Week
- $70.00 per cubic yard, per dump
- $97.50 per one and one-half cubic yards, per dump
- $125.00 per two cubic yards, per dump
2) Commercial Can Rates
- Same as Residential Can rates described above
