John Day 2045 Community Vision Survey

ANNOUNCING THE JOHN DAY 2045 COMMUNITY VISION

The City of John Day wants to know what you love about this community now and
what you hope for its future. This survey will ask you to think about John Day in the
present and the future. To do that, first we will ask what you feel are the
community’s current strengths and challenges. Then, we will ask you to imagine life
in John Day in 2045 and share, what does it look like? Sound like? Feel like?

We want to know: What do you hope for John Day’s thriving future?

This information will be used to develop a city-wide Community Vision. From the
input gathered in this process, broad and descriptive vision statements will be
developed to define the ideal John Day in 2045. The vision statements will help
guide the City and other partners towards the community’s shared goals for John
Day. Your survey responses will be collected by Jensen Strategies, an Oregon
based local government consulting firm, on behalf of the City of John Day.
Responses will be incorporated into summary themes or quotes, but will not
individually identify anyone.

Surveys are due by Tuesday October 14, 2025
