John Day 2045 Community Vision

ANNOUNCING THE JOHN DAY 2045 COMMUNITY VISION

As a foundational part of a city-wide planning process, the City of John Day is inviting the community to share their hopes and vision for John Day’s future.

We want to know what you love about this community now and what you hope for its future. This information will be used to develop rich, descriptive city-wide vision statements that provide long term guidance for the City and its partners to achieve a shared vision for John Day’s ideal future look and feel.

The City is working with Jensen Strategies, an Oregon based consulting firm, to facilitate this vision and strategic planning process.

We need your help! To envision John Day’s future, we need to know what you think about John Day in the present and the future, and most importantly, to help imagine life in John Day in 2045. Whether you’re the first or fifth generation in your family to call John Day home, or you have another meaningful tie to the community, your shared perspectives will reflect and bolster the true spirit of John Day.

From the input gathered in this process, broad and descriptive vision statements will be developed to define the ideal look, sound, and feel of John Day in 2045.

Your survey responses will be collected by Jensen Strategies on behalf of the City of John Day. The community vision survey should take 10-15 minutes to complete. Responses will be incorporated into summary themes or quotes, but will not individually identify anyone.

If you would prefer a written copy of the survey you can visit City Hall during business hours to pick up or turn in completed surveys there instead. Hard copies can be downloaded by clicking the 'Printable John Day 2045 Community Vision Survey' link below. Please submit either a digital or paper copy survey, but not both. If you would like to type your responses, please consider using the online version of the survey.
